The Board of Directors of the James Randi Educational Foundation and organizers of The Amaz!ng Meeting have announced registration is officially open for the 2015 conference taking place at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada July 16- 19, 2015.
This year’s meeting is dedicated to James Randi and emceed by George Hrab with special guest appearances by Jamy Ian Swiss. The meeting will feature a dynamic line up of speakers by day and special entertainment by night including movie screenings, a theatrical/comedy production called Festival of the Spoken Nerd, and maybe even a magician or two. The centerpiece of the conference will be a tribute to James “the Amazing” Randi who retired earlier this year and is expected to somewhat slow the pace of his public appearances. The daytime tribute which is included in the conference registration will feature special guests paying homage to Randi as well acknowledging the work of Martin Gardner who would have turned 100 years old this year. There will also be an evening reception to celebrate Randi’s career in order to include well-wishers that cannot attend the entire conference. Tickets are sold separately for $75 and include open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres.
Organizers are also very pleased that prices for this year’s TAM are the same as last year but participants will receive more value than ever. The Tropicana Hotel, which is newly renovated and located on the Strip, offers TAM participants Hilton Honors points, a low room rate, free in-room wifi and has waived the $20 resort fee. There are several meeting registration packages to choose from ranging from the basic no frills registration to the all-inclusive TAM Experience. Participants are encouraged to book early to take advantage of early bird pricing which ends May 15.
